Dear reader, welcome! My name is Rayane, but you can call me Ray. I’m a lettering artist and illustrator based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I began my career as a graphic designer in the startup world but quickly realized I wanted to be a full-time lettering artist. 

If you haven’t noticed yet, my work is heavily influenced by pop culture – with references to TV shows, movies, music, and books. You may even find a few Taylor Swift references on this very page…(who is Taylor Swift anyway? ew). I also really love to touch on topics such as women’s rights and empowerment.

With a B.F.A in Graphic Design, I graduated with pride from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). My services range from creating custom hand lettering for advertising to editorial, publishing, products, social media, art licensing, and many more.

My goal is to enhance brands and businesses by creating unique, customized, and captivating designs that will set them apart from their competitors and help them connect with customers.  I believe that hand lettering adds a personal and distinctive touch, making it more memorable and compelling for the audience. My approach involves designing with the brand’s distinct identity and voice in mind.

When I’m not bringing letters to life, you can usually find me reading a book or watching a TV show (or constantly searching for a new book, as if my ‘to be read’ list isn’t big enough already!).
